(The Girl) had (The Neighbor) spend the night and is being really obnoxious.
No one bought a cloud disk yet. That’s okay – it is kind of a joke. I am not even sure I know how to burn photos to disk.
I am going to try to email Don Delillo today and tell him that he should probably help me since I am starting to feel like one of his characters.
I am only half kidding. I am okay though – in a pretty good head space…
I think the issue of the clouds is best approached scientifically. First determining whether or not such repetitive structures are likely to have been caused by local climate and topography.
I think that – with some organizing of the photos, I can certainly prove that the clouds have been demonstrating an oddly thematic sameness day after day…
However, I am in WAY OVER MY HEAD as to how, and certainly do not feel well-informed enough to further speculate as to the reason why patterns seem evident.
I do know that any aberrant behavior displayed by objects we assume to be passive – well, it should definitely be looked into.
By people who are smarter than I am.
So, I think I might see if I can find a friendly climatologist or meteorologist or earth scientist (all of the above!) and ask them what they – as scientists – might think about the strange clouds that I wish would go away. They are like a roof over central Asheville.
I guess I should start asking people who don’t think they know everything…
i.e. smart people…
I would like someone to prove me wrong and explain to me just how – in the realm of physical science as we understand it – these clouds came to be…not once, but over and over again.
I’ll call you in a few.
Hope you had a good morning.
Faith
The Girl is awesome and abstract.
Oh! By the way – here is the beginning of proof that clouds are capable of repeating themselves.
As – it seems – am I. I will say it as much as it needs to be said: there are 3’s in the sky, and eyes. And all sorts of other stuff.
I have pictures. It is true. I want to know what the f* is going on. It is making me feel sick. (literally – I feel like I might throw up.)
Someone needs to explain this to me. Now.
Every day for almost a month. And nobody seems to think much of it. Weird, huh?
