Hello – here is a copy of the letter I just sent to the Tampa Tribune. At the very least, tell Hiaasen…not for profit, but because I am starting to feel like one of his characters:)
*******************
Hello – My name is Faith and I live in Asheville, NC. However, I grew up in Camden Co. – Ga and my father lived in Tampa as a child.
Thus, I felt it would be appropriate to make the Tampa Tribune aware that there is a blogger in Asheville that seems to be under the impression that, somehow, the disruptions in the Gulf of Mexico have disturbed the heavens in some way.
She seems a little bit ‘crazy’ – but she has taken an awful lot of pictures of clouds that, to her, appear to be saints and fish and old lines crossing.
She is a talented un-schooled artist.
Her background is in social work and education and she appears to have some very strong ideas about economy and politics. However, her primary message is one of mindfulness and mourning for the things we destroy which cannot be re-built.
It is an interesting story. You should tell other papers, because – really…it’s too good for television;)
Yup. It’s me, it’s my story. Thanks for your time.

Have a good morning. By the way, it’s all true. It really does seem to hurt in my bones.
